Description

Amrut is a pioneer in the high quality production of single malt whiskey using classic technology in India. Founded in 1965 in the country with the largest consumption and largest production of whiskey in the world, Amrut makes a qualitative change in the industry - began to produce single malt whiskey from its own barley, maturing the whiskey in different climatic regions and at different altitudes and experimenting with barrels of different nature. A little over a decade ago, Amrut made his world breakthrough at an exhibition in Scotland. He has since been considered the exclusive representative of New World whiskeys.

This single malt whiskey from Amrut in Bangalore, India is bottled without dilution and from a batch of only a few dozen ex-bourbon barrels. The microclimate in Bangalore makes whiskey aging extremely difficult due to the hot and very dry air all year round. Much of the whiskey can be lost due to barrel and evaporation problems. Amruts rarely bottle batches without dilution - so whiskeys have an exceptional structure, density, volume, intensity, which in the case of Amrut can be a little more. The whiskey is bottled at 61.8 vol.%, without cold filtration and with natural color.

Profile: Caramel biscuits, coffee, red orange, buttermilk, spicy spices.
