In 1952, Taittinger Champagne House unveiled Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, its most exclusive and premium cuvée, honoring the Comtes de Champagne and, notably, Thibaud IV, whose seal proudly adorns every Taittinger bottle. This exceptional champagne is crafted exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Grands Crus vineyards in the Côte des Blancs region. These vineyards, nestled in the renowned villages of Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger, are celebrated for the exceptional quality of their soil, which is particularly ideal for cultivating Chardonnay grapes in the region.

Comtes de Champagne upholds its commitment to excellence by selecting only the finest vintages for its production, ensuring an exceptional finesse in its wines. In the composition of this exceptional champagne, 5% of the wines undergo a four-month aging process in oak barrels, one-third of which are renewed annually. This meticulous barrel aging enhances the overall profile of the cuvée, imbuing it with subtle toasted notes that contribute to its distinctive character. Throughout a decade of aging in the cellars, time has performed its enchanting alchemy, bringing us exceptional vitality and extraordinary aging capability.

Comtes de Champagne presents a vibrant and elegant character, marked by distinctive aromas such as almonds, chalk, white grapefruit, shortbread, spicy lemons, and apricot kernels. Subtle notes of dill and white pepper add complexity to the profile. It exhibits a profound mineral quality and a remarkable sense of power, accompanied by an abundance of fine bubbles. The finish is remarkably long, leaving a lasting impression.
