Description

A big whisky to be enjoyed after dinner, so rich and full that it is a dessert in itself, with a finish that lasts forever.

Nose: Complex, yet refined, delicately peated, with fresh tempting aromas of marmalade, honey, freshly ground coffee, sherry and nuts. Remarkable oak tannins.

Taste: Full and strong body, the taste of sherry and oak vie for your attention, with neither dominating, in amazing harmony. A strong sensation of delicious nuts and smokiness.

Finish: Intense, prolonged, dry, smoky and malty. A wonderful taste of dark Belgian chocolate at the back of the mouth complements the taste of the 25 year old.

Located in the very heart of Speyside, at the foot of the heather-covered mountain Ben Rinnes, the Glenfarclas distillery is surrounded by lush green meadows and fertile fields. Glenfarclas is one of the few remaining independent distilleries that are still privately family-owned. Translated from Celtic, the name Glenfarclas means "Valley of the Green Grass," but this hardly tells you much about what to expect from this remarkable brand of Scottish single malt whisky.
