Description

100% Chardonnay, biodynamic viticulture. Certified organic by Demeter.

The vineyards are located in Margreid, between 230–330 meters above sea level, with gravelly, sandy, and very calcareous soils. Spontaneous fermentation primarily in barriques, and also in large wooden vats. Matures for almost 1 year on fine lees, then in bottles for about 1 year.

Golden yellow color. Distinctive bouquet of fruits (pear, apricot, peach), fresh butter, toasted aromas. Powerful structure, harmonious, multi-layered. Mineral-fruity, salinity.

Optimal drinking maturity: 3-15 years.

Löwengang Chardonnay not only shaped the success story of the Lageder winery but also established the status of high-quality wines from South Tyrol.
