Description

Martell VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale), aged in red barrels, opens a new height of skills in the production of Martell. Like all other Martel cognacs, this one matures only in barrels of fine-grained oak, which do not harm the delicacy of Martel's clear wines. The unique thing, however, is that for Martell VSOP Red Barrels, oak barrels are selected, which have already been used for aging the so-called eaux-de-vie (unripe fruit brandy), where the influence of tannins is even less pronounced. Known as fûts roux (red barrels) due to the reddish hue of their wood, these barrels have reached the perfect stage of maturation for both oak and eaux-de-vie, thus allowing a perfectly balanced exchange between the two. Eaux-de-vie can not only express their completely natural fruity aromas, but they are combined with fine wood tones from the red barrels, resulting in an exquisite, quality Cognac that is an authentic expression of the iconic Martell style.
• Warm copper color with golden highlights.
• Intense aromas of ripe yellow fruits, including Mirabella, apricot and mango melon. Saturated fruity notes blend gently with notes of wood and unobtrusive spices from red barrels, creating the impression of elegance and perfect balance.

Tips for consumption: clean, with ice or in cocktails.
