Description

MERAK is a rakia created by the wine enthusiasts of "Terra Continuum", whose goal is to showcase the immense potential of the Pinot Noir grape variety. The name is inspired by the star Merak in the Ursa Major constellation.

The Pinot Noir vineyard, spanning over 20 decares and located 30 meters above sea level, was established in 2008 using the most modern methods of contemporary viticulture. It is situated in the Persina Nature Park, located along the Danube River – a terroir whose climatic conditions and soil are particularly suitable for this variety.

The grapes are hand-picked into small crates, and aged for 6 months in a stainless steel vessel.
