Valpolicella Superiore DOC 2019, Zenato 0.75
Varieties: Corvina, Rondinella, and Sangiovese
Vineyards: Hilly area with south-eastern exposure. Average altitude of the vineyards: 250/300 m.
Soils: Mostly calcareous.
Vinification: The grape harvest typically takes place during the first 10 days of October. Manual harvesting is followed by destemming and traditional maceration for a period of 10 days in stainless steel fermenters. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, the wine is separated from the skins by gentle pressing. This is followed by aging in 50/75 hectoliter oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
Ruby red color. The nose is delicate, reminiscent of maraschino cherries and fruit. The taste is dry, velvety, with good structure, full-bodied.
