More information

70% Zweigelt, 30% Pinot Noir
Origin and terroir: The cherry fruit and the pleasant texture of Zweigelt are combined with the delicate strawberry and elegance of Pinot Noir. The sandy limestone of Bizamberg, close to the capital, creates finesse and complexity in this Viennese blend.

Classification: With the stamp “Sustainable Austria” 1410334
The vines are about 25 years old and are grown densely - about 4000 pieces / ha. In order to benefit from the heat rising from the ground and to achieve a high foliage wall, a treatment at a height of 60-90 cm is used and the Guillot method of pruning is applied.

Herrenholz and Prashen are located on a plateau with amazing views over Vienna.
Harvesting was carried out at the end of September at 21 ° KMW. The grapes are picked in the vineyard.
The bunches in the cellar have been removed and the fruits have been crushed. The must is fermented at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for a period of 20 days in stainless steel vessels with repair. Store 80% in stainless steel and 20% in used small French oak barrels. The wine is bottled in burgundy bottles with screw caps.
