Description
Belgrade Urban Distillery is the first open-type micro-distillery. It started as a project by the founders of a rakija shop in 2006, and in 2009, they launched their own production under the Branko brand. They specialize in fruit rakijas in limited batches from the super premium segment, which would present Serbian rakija in a new, modern way.
Branko Premium is a modern double-distilled plum rakija, produced in small batches according to their own recipe. The unique taste is achieved by blending plum distillates aged for at least two years in Serbian oak barrels.
The taste is rich, powerful, yet balanced by sweet notes reminiscent of ripe plums, spiciness, and chocolate aromas.
Due to its high alcohol content (50%) and complex character, it is recommended to serve Branko Premium in a whiskey glass with an ice cube.
Chef’s suggestion
Great as an aperitif, digestif, or in combination with grilled beef, lamb, or pork specialties. Due to its chocolate notes, it also pairs very well with chocolate cookies or coffee.
