Additional Information

Ripasso is a wine like no other. Firstly, all the grapes from which it is made are grown following entirely organic practices. Secondly, and this is where the magic happens, it's a wine that ferments twice. The already finished Valpolicella is mixed with the skins of pressed and used for Amarone dried grapes. The maceration, or the stay of the skins with the wine, lasts for 5 days. This is followed by 12 months of aging in French oak barrels from Allier.
