Description
The winery was founded in 1984 by Rita Tua and Virgilio Bisti, and is now run by their son-in-law Stefano Frascola. He is assisted by the renowned oenologist Dr. Stefano Ciocholi. The winery in Suvereto plays a leading role in the entire Val di Cornia area, which borders Bolgheri to the south. Primarily Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon & Franc and Sangiovese varieties are cultivated, but there are also a few Syrah vineyards from which a single-varietal wine is made in very small quantities.
Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri presents itself with a bouquet of black cherries, ripe strawberries, dark plums and blackberries. Light notes of sweet tobacco and vanilla, combined with mineral spices. A hint of earthy minerality completes the great nose. On the palate, Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri IGT has soft tannins and medium acidity. Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri is characterized by aromas of black fruit and berries. Blackcurrant, black plums, combined with notes of leather and tobacco leaves. Great use of barrique, never overloaded or thick. It has a powerful finish with a hint of mineral spice.
