Aroma and taste: Aromas of fresh pears and dried apple slices, orange peel, spices, and almond blossom. Well-defined, fresh acidity and delicate spiciness, forming a long finish.
Aging: The best time for consumption is within the next three years, when the wine most expressively displays its fruity qualities, supported by lively acidity.
Recommended serving temperature: 9-11 C

Soil: Most of the vineyards are located on hills of old sedimentary rocks, formed millions of years ago from marine deposits. Soil diversity is complemented by limestone, clay, sand, and shale. The characteristic marl soils are known in Styria as "Opok".
