The origin of our scotch blend dates back to the 19th century. This is an art that we are perfecting to this day. Because blending is always better: both in whiskey making and in life.

Growing up on a remote Scottish farm, James and John Chivas were aware that the world around them was changing, and the idealistic place they called home was no longer big enough for their dreams to change the world.

After a three-day walk, the brothers found themselves in Aberdeen, a city that fit their ambitions perfectly. Finding a lucrative livelihood in Aberdeen, James was quickly captivated by a whole new world of exceptional flavors and aromas. Everything seemed possible, and James quickly gained the fame of a man who could provide even the impossible. If they didn't charge it, they found it. If they could not find it, they created it themselves.

When John joined the business, the Chivas Regal brand was born.
