The establishment of the farm began with the purchase of the first lands in 1997 to reach 1,200 decares in 2010.
The past years have helped to gain invaluable experience and knowledge about the peculiarities of the local climate, as well as the natural challenges facing us as a farmer.
This is how we came to "our recipe" for agriculture - investment and human care.
Perennials are fully secured with drip irrigation. We have invested in agricultural machinery, refrigerators, packaging and sorting facilities, commercial facilities.
Following the expectations and needs of our customers, we continue to develop the economy by experimenting with production based entirely on the use of organic fertilizers and preparations.
Vineyards
Gardens and vineyards "Kapatovo" have 174 acres of their own vineyards - 104 acres of vineyards in fruiting and 70 acres of young vineyards. New 20 decares are to be planted. The varieties were selected after careful study of soil qualities and climatic features. The planting material was purchased by the French company Guillaume. The vineyards are part of a family estate, where the plantations receive daily care in order to achieve maximum crop quality. A drip irrigation system has been built, which covers all 174 decares and allows for response to climatic anomalies and drastic droughts.
Growing
We, in Kapatovo Gardens and Vineyards, are convinced that the care that a person takes is the most valuable thing that our fruit trees and vineyards need. In order to facilitate the work of the members of our team, we have invested in various and high-quality agricultural machinery. As part of the investment process, we added to the company's assets: storage base, packaging and sorting base, trade base. In addition to everything necessary for the daily maintenance of the farm and plantations, we also purchased special machines to prevent reliance - frost guards.
Wines
Kapatovo Ltd. produces red and white wine "Kapatovo" - bottled and packaged in 5-liter packages. The red "Kapatovo" is a blend of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Marseille and Primitivo. Depending on the characteristics of the harvest, we try to find the optimal ratio of varieties in the blend to meet the expectations of our customers. Before bottling, the wine is aged in French oak barrels "Baron". The white "Kapatovo" is a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier. Kapatovo wines are vinified and bottled at Damyanitsa OOD.
In order to meet the requirements of our customers and traders, we have invested in a special sorting machine for cherries, as well as a hydrocooler for cooling the products. We also built drip irrigation, which covers all perennials. The production is stored in nine refrigerators with a total volume of 1200 cubic meters. The farm also has its own transport.
