Logodazh Wine Cellar is a modern and innovative winery. Our concept is to create delicious and multi-layered wines with maximum harmony and concentrated fruitiness. We rely on the development and promotion around the world of the local unique varieties Shiroka Melnishka Loza and Ranna Melnishka Loza. In this way we reveal their unique potential and create unique and noble wines. Only in the valley of the river Struma are grown the unique Bulgarian varieties Shiroka Melnishka Loza and Ranna Melnishka Loza.

For more than 10 years, the future of wine production in Bulgaria has taken new paths in search of unsurpassed quality and complete harmony, to achieve this goal, it took the right place and time and highly motivated people, which led to the creation of wine cellar Logodazh, place with endless possibilities and love for wine.

Grapes

Early Melnik Vine or Melnik 55 is a hybrid wine grape variety, a cross of Shiroka Melnishka Loza with mixed pollen from the varieties Durif, Jurasson, Valdigie and Cabernet Sauvignon. The variety produces wines with rich ruby color, rich aroma and maturation potential. Shiroka Melnishka Loza is a wine grape variety, distributed mainly in the region of Petrich and Sandanski. It grows well on sloping light soils with southern exposure. The cluster is medium-sized, semi-compact to compact, conical, sometimes winged. The grain is medium-sized and the skin is dark blue. High quality table and dessert wines are made from it.

Terroir

This area includes the southwestern parts of the country. It is not large in size, but has specific climatic features that bring it closer to the Mediterranean areas. The local varieties Ranna Melnishka Loza, Shiroka Melnishka Loza, Ruen, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are grown along the valley of the river Struma. The resulting wines are characterized by warm southern tones in the aroma, with fullness in taste and richness of general impressions. Of particular interest are the wines of the Early Melnishka Loza variety, which are rich and sufficiently voluminous and acquire exotic and very pleasant nuances in taste with aging.

Climate

The winery is located in the heart of the beautiful valley along the Struma River in southwestern Bulgaria. This is the most beautiful and warmest Bulgarian region, with ancient and rich history and beautiful nature, a region with millennial traditions in viticulture and winemaking, where the warm sun and terroir are favorable and the mastery of winemakers enjoys many years of recognition.
