Brugal

Brugal

Brugal's story began more than 130 years ago in Puerto Plata with Don Andres Brugal Montaner and his passion, dedication and hard work. Such stories must be shared, just as Brugal himself was created to be shared.

The history of Brugal begins in the 19th century in the Caribbean and was started by Don Andres Brugal Montaner.

“Семейна рецепта, предавана през поколенията.”

At the heart of the brand is the family recipe, which has been passed down through the generations: strictly kept secret to this day, known only to the family of founder Don Andres Brugal Montaner and passed down through five generations to this day. Continuous distillation ensures that with each bottle of Brugal you get the purest rum of the best possible quality.

The company was founded in 1888. In 1920, the first mature rum was officially released in the Dominican Republic. In 1976, Brugal launched Extra Viejo, the first premium rum in the Dominican Republic. In 1981, the company began exporting its products to the United States, and in 1996 the first quantities of rum arrived in Spain. In 2010, Brugal was the number one brand in Spain.

През 2013 година компанията пуска своя първи супер премиум ром “Papa Andres”, който получава награда “Най-добър супер премиум ром в света”.

Carefully selected barrels

All barrels of the company are carefully selected by Maestros Roneros for the right type of character, age and origin. Only the best oak barrels are used, ranging from American bourbon barrels to European sherry barrels.

Dominican warmth

All Roma of the company mature for at least 2 years. All the company's warehouses are south-facing to get the most out of the warm Dominican sun and thus speed up the aging process.

Family tradition

More than 130 years of passion, dedication and hard work by the Brugal family have made the Brugal brand what it is today. These are five generations of masters who combine tradition and innovation to create first-class rum.
