The values of Havanna Club are best expressed by Maestros del Ron Cubano. This is not a craft that is learned in school. As Don Jose Navarro, the Prime Minister of the Maestro del Ron Cubano, said, this is a "cultural heritage passed from Maestro to Maestro." For 15 long years, the ambitious Maestro went through rigorous training. Under the supervision of senior Maestro del Ron Cubano, he learned to choose the best molasses, to control their fermentation and distillation, to choose the best barrels for maturing the distillates and to mix them to get the best rum. Maestro del Ron Cubano is a true master of his craft.

In 1993, Pernod Ricard SA and Corporación Cuba Ron SA launched the joint venture responsible for the production, marketing and commercialization of the Havana Club worldwide. Thanks to the production team in Cuba, our Roma are now the most awarded Cuban Roma with 27 medals in tasting competitions in the last four years.
