Bononia Estate

Vision and goals
The young and fast-growing company is named after an ancient Roman fortress located along the Danube River, Bononia (today's Vidin). Over the centuries, Bononia bravely defended the province of Upper Moesia, and later upgraded and turned into the fortress of Baba Vida, it proudly guarded the northwestern border of one of the oldest countries in Europe, has not changed its name to this day, Bulgaria. The Balkan state is known in the region both for its longest mountain range, which gave the peninsula its name, the Balkans, and as one of the places where wine production originated on the continent for the first time.
