Our philosophy is to strive for perfection with premium wines by paying special attention and diligent care to every detail: the vineyards, the cellar, our relationship with the environment. We make unique wines for special moments with your special people!

Four Friends appears on the home stage and is immediately distinguished by the exceptional taste of their wines.

Four Friends Wine Cellar has over 40 hectares of vineyards in the most suitable region for growing grapes in Bulgaria - the Thracian lowlands. The mansion is nestled on the land of the village of Gorno Botevo, east of Stara Zagora.

The choice is not accidental - the region is famous for millennial wine traditions dating back 4,000 years! It is these traditions that want to revive four enthusiastic friends, connoisseurs of good Bulgarian wine.

The first vineyards of the varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot were planted in 2006 after a careful study of the terrain, climate and soil conditions in the region.

Since 2010, all the vineyards of the winery are in fruiting, and the grapes are picked by hand with special attention to the grapes. The bunches are sorted by hand, with only healthy and clean bunches going to the winery.

The wine matures oak barrels. They are regularly topped up and the quality changes that occur due to the contact of the wine with the oak wood are monitored. The cellar has a modern, state-of-the-art laboratory. The dynamics of grape development is monitored daily through laboratory analyzes of sugar content, titratable acids and pH.

Vineyards

We believe that our own production of grapes is the key to creating good wine. The experience we have in growing vines proves that the proper cultivation of vines and quality yields require a lot of care and attention. All vineyards are monitored by an experienced team of agronomists led by Atanas Shiderov, who manually monitor the condition of the massifs. Constant control prevents drying or over-irrigation of the plantations.

Terroir

We grow our vineyards using a special technology that combines modern viticultural practices and manual care, the best formula for high quality wine. Wine grape varieties best express their biological potential to form a medium-sized Moser. The grapes are fermented in special fermenters, which help to extract its properties and then matured in oak barrels. The interaction between wine and oak barrels contributes to the nuances of taste and aroma and complete pleasure of the senses.

Climate

The natural conditions are especially suitable for growing grape varieties - mild, temperate continental climate and many sunny days (over 3000 hours of sunshine, over 120 days a year). The sun helps our grapes to accumulate sugar, which in combination with low acidity and coloring matter creates the perfect balance of the unique taste of our wine.

Вината във винарска изба “Four Friends” се произвеждат по класически технологии с изключително много ръчен труд – това в голяма степен определя и качеството на виното. Общият капацитет на избата е 400 000 литра вино, с възможност за производство на 300 000 бутилки годишно. Ферментаторите, които са използваме се от тип „каца“, които се използват във всички бутикови винарни за производство на висококачествени вина. Използваме ги и защото позволява изцяло ръчно контролиране на процеса на ферментация, който е много важен за постигане на мекия вкус и аромат на нашето вино.
