Manastira
Manastira Wine Cellar specializes in the production of high quality wines. It is located in southern Bulgaria, 25 km. northwest of Pazardzhik and 70 km. from Sofia, in a deep valley surrounded by the slopes of Sredna Gora, along the banks of the river Topolnitsa. It is located in the most suitable region for growing grapes in Bulgaria - the Thracian lowland. Wine production in this area is famous for its millennial wine traditions. It is built on a territory with rich cultural and historical heritage. Proof of this are the remains of a church center in the past, which gave the name of the place - "Monastery". Our love for history, the richness of Bulgarian nature and good wine help us to turn this piece of land into an earthly paradise.
In the wine cellar of the Monastery we create wines in which we put a lot of desire and love. A group of specialists are at the core of the creation of wines obtained from well-selected grapes from their own vineyards controlled year-round. Before being offered on the market, wines must be aged in new barrels.
The monastery's wine cellar has first-class vineyards of the varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Mavrud, Merlot, Syrah and Ancelotta, as well as white grape varieties: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat Otonel.
