The winery began its journey in 2007 in the Sharovitsa area near the village of Karabunar. This is an area where vineyards and wine have been a part of people's lives since ancient times. Over the years, it has not stopped developing, following market trends and affinity for good wine.

През 2017 г. с гордост бе представено новото име на бранда Via Vinera, който заменя познатия “Карабунар”. Промяната е следствие от желанието на собствениците да продължат традициите в региона и да ги съчетаят със съвременните тенденции. По този начин се цели да се постигне една завършена модерна идентичност. В бъдеще избата ще се презентира с новата си едноименна серия “Via Vinera”, както и с познатите “Bulgarian Heritage”, “Contour” и “Castellum”.

Via Vinera relies on both the artisan approach and modern technology, combining the styles of two traditional Bulgarian terroirs - the one in the Thracian lowlands (Karabunar) with the one in the Danube plain (Kilifarevo). This bold endeavor is successful thanks to the creative and experimental spirit of oenologist Nadezhda Dyulgerska. Together with the dedicated team, she puts her 18 years of experience as an oenologist, international judge and member of the Board of the Union of Oenologists in Bulgaria to create a quality and well-structured portfolio.

Bulgarian Heritage

We chose to present our collection "Bulgarian Heritage" with letters from the first Bulgarian alphabet - Glagolitic. In this series is gathered our passion for the creation of wine from traditional Bulgarian varieties growing in these lands for many years.

Contour

Outlines of inspiration - It is said that a cellar is as good as its wine is good for every possible occasion. At Via Vinera, these are the wines from the Contour series, which in 2020 received new stylistic and quality outlines! Today, Via Vinera is ready for a new phase: the transition from the outlines of the earth to those of the human soul. Inspired by the sensuality of the female body, the contours of our new series are outlined

Castellum

Castellum translated from Latin means "watchtower" or "watchtower". We chose this name for the range of aged wines, as an expression of our desire to strictly observe the traditions and spirit of the Bulgarian wine art. We have carefully selected the best batches in the cellar, made from strictly selected grapes.

The eponymous Via Vinera series relies on international varieties grown in oak. These are artisan wines, which, however, are easy to understand and attractive both stylistically and in terms of price. Despite their short presence on the market, the wines from the Via Vinera series have been evaluated at some of the most prestigious international wine competitions.

The Via Vinera brand on the labels of our well-known wines is their family trait and a sign of consistently high quality.
