Zlaten Rozhen

Zlaten Rozhen Wine Cellar is located near the village of Kapatovo, 20 km south of Sandanski. The winery is a modern complex with a complete production cycle, with facilities for control of all processes of vinification, maturation, stabilization and bottling of wines. The varietal structure of the vineyard is dominated by the varieties Merlot, Cabernet, Syrah, typical for the region Melnik 55, Melnik ruby and the emblematic for the region from ancient times Shiroka Melnik vine.

Since 2017, Zlaten Rozhen wine cellar has expanded its massifs with first-class vineyards. Zlaten Rozhen produces high quality boutique wines with excellent varietal aromas, mature tannins and soft freshness.

The history of our elite winery began with the planting of our vineyards in the land of the village of Kapatovo, Kostov Andak area.

The classic image of Bulgarian winemaking for centuries has been represented by the old Melnik wine, produced by the local variety - Shirokata Melnik vine. This wine was a showy privilege at the tables in the castles of the Venetian doges, the Spanish dukes and the French counts. It is interesting that the attempts to transfer and cultivate the Wide Melnik vineyard in other areas have always failed.
