Avinissima Wine Consulting

Born as a project in 2017, Avinissima WINE Consulting is the logical continuation of the intersection of two life paths dedicated to wine as a way of life. One is by Irina Sofranova, the other by Yana Petkova. Their main goal is to build a wine culture in Bulgaria and the Balkans, for which they work constantly, passing on the wine knowledge accumulated over the years.

Irina Sofranova is a wine expert, taster and critic, journalist, moderator, trainer, trainer, speaker and organizer of specialized seminars, team-building events, tastings and workshops. He is actively involved in the promotion of Balkan wine abroad, the dissemination of wine culture at the local level, as well as the organization of Balkan wine tours for the international audience.

Ирина има дългогодишен опит като мениджър на Австрийската платформа Headquarters Austria, която се занимава с теми и събития свързани с интернационализирането на големи корпорации, организацията на European Headquarters Congress in Vienna, 2012, Австрийската икономическа камара и Австрийската Бизнес Агенция. По отношение на “винения опит”, освен солидното образование към Винената Академия в London, WSET, Ирина е организирала международни събития във Виена и е консултирала Европейския Винен Рицарски Орден, била е жури в големи винени събития като Austrian Wine Challenge, International Wine Challenge и е консултирала австрийски и балкански изби.

Yana Petkova is a graduate of the Austrian Wine Academy, a branch of the British Wine and Spirit Education Trust and holder of the WSET Diploma. She is a wine taster and journalist, an international wine judge (International Wine Challenge) and a trainer. He is a co-founder of the Bulgarian Wine Academy, the Life Unbottled podcast, a member of the team of the wine site DiVino, a lecturer, blogger and partner in restaurant projects. In 2020 her book "A, B, Wine" will be published - the only book of its kind for wine knowledge in Bulgarian.

Yana's main goal is to work to increase the understanding and pleasure of wine, to increase knowledge about it and to build an adequate image of wine in the public space in our country.
