Excellence since 1785. With the idea of creating "a wine that makes people smile" Florence-Louise Heidsieck founded the company. Born in Germany but falling in love with the Champagne region at first sight, he was driven by his adventurous spirit and nothing was able to stop his enthusiasm. Following his intuition, Florence achieved remarkable successes, the greatest of which was the creation of a bottle dedicated to Queen Marie-Antoinette. In doing so, he earned the right to be presented at the French royal court, and the heiress greatly appreciated the exquisite drink.
Florence's nephew, Christian Heidsick, developed the company ever so successfully with the help of the talented Henry Guillaume. The two achieved amazing successes and continued Florence's work, with the Piper-Heidsieck brand being named the official supplier to 14 royal palaces, from those of Hapsburg princesses to Chinese emperors.

The brand is inextricably linked to cinema and Hollywood. Marilyn Monroe herself adored Piper-Heidsieck champagne, and in 1953 she said: 'I go to bed at night with Chanel No. 5 perfume, and wake up in the morning to a glass of Piper-Heidsieck. It really warms me up'". Since 1993, the brand has been the official distributor of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, and for three years it has been the official partner of the Oscar ceremony.
