Twenty years later, a special hull was created with 12,000 oak barrels for aging wine distillate. In 1994, the winery imported from France 8 original carp cauldrons from the Cognac region. With them, the "Gold" of Pomoria began to create the highest quality brandies and brandies in Southeast Europe.
The former cellar from 1932. today is the heart of a unique hotel complex for modern wine tourism with a beautiful restaurant, tasting room and museum, known to fans of classy wines as "Via Pontica".
In 2007-2013, Black Sea Gold invested over 5.5 million euros in the construction of a micro winery. Micro winemaking is a one-of-a-kind winemaking technology in which each of the processes is done manually. It allows for the production of high quality wines in limited series.
At the heart of it all are well-kept vineyards. We have more than 650 hectares of our own vineyards of the most famous classic wine varieties. With us, all processes are performed manually - from picking, delicate separation of the grains from the bunches to the precise sorting of completely healthy and ripe grains.
Exceptional wine is made from exceptional grapes. Located on the beach, Pomorie is famous as one of the best terroirs for growing white grapes.
The quality of grapes is the main factor in wine production. We make an uncompromising bite for 650 hectares of our own vineyards, including classic wine varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Otonen, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and the local Thracian Mavrud.
Our vineyards, located in the villages of Razboyna, Troyanovo, Asparuhovo and Razhitsa, are located on sandy soils with excellent drainage, which give our wines exceptional finesse and minerality.
