In fact, only 1 in 100 handmade barrels are separated so that Jack Daniel's Single Barrel can mature in them. To mark its distinctive character, each bottle is hand-labeled with the place number, barrel and individual date of bottling. This allows whiskey connoisseurs to compare the distinctive taste profile from different barrels.
