Colour: Deep ruby red with elegant garnet nuances.
Aroma: Elegant aroma of ripe fruits, including mulberry, cherry and plum, perfectly balanced by ginger, anise and oak notes.
Taste: Gentle and dry, with soft tannins, which provide long-lasting taste.
Ageing: 6 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.
Recommended serving temperature: 16-18°C

The quality of the wines from Primitivo di Manduria is world renowned. The variety originated in Croatia, where it is today known as Castellanski Vranec or Crenyak. Its name suggests that it is one of Italy's oldest and earliest maturing varieties. An extremely interesting fact is that 20 days after the harvest, the vines can produce a second crop that has higher acidity and can be used to balance wines.
