Description

Maker's Mark is the bourbon that marked the beginning of the so-called "super premium" category in American whiskey. The characteristic hand seal with red wax ensures that no two bottles will ever be the same and has won Maker's millions of fans around the world, and the greatest connoisseurs can even guess when the bottle is dipped in the wax by a lefty.
Maker's Mark is bottled not when it reaches a certain year of ripening, but when it reaches its specific taste. This usually happens between the sixth and ninth year. Maker's Mark Distillery is the only distillery in the United States that still produces only one brand

Maker's 46 Bourbon is a classic Kentucky bourbon containing 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% malted barley.
It differs from the traditional Maker's Mark bourbon in that the standard Maker's Mark barrels are emptied, heavily burnt French oak boards are placed and the barrel is refilled with the previous distillate for re-aging for about 2-3 months.

Color: Dark caramel shade.
Flavor: Classic bourbon flavors, rich caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, butter toffee and freshly baked cinnamon bread, cherries, sweet breakfast cereal.
Taste: Again dominant caramel, strong oak influence, cinnamon, dark chocolate cake, vanilla citrus ice cream, sweet corn, plenty of dessert notes.
Finish: Medium length, more oily than the traditional Maker's Mark, warm wood spices, tobacco, leather, cigar box.
ABV: 47%
