Description

Grape Variety: Riesling.
Colour: Light greenish yellow colour.
Aroma and taste: Pure and fruity, stone fruit (apricot), apple and subtle flowery notes on the nose. Crisp and bright with salty spiciness, fine and long.
Agеing: The alcoholic strength of Federspiel wines shall not normally exceed 12,5%. They must be dry and usually aged for a short time in neutral steel containers, most often consumed shortly after bottling. Representatives of this category, especially Riesling wines with their typical high acidity, have a good potential for ageing for three to five years. The Federspiel of some Wachau manufacturers can age in a bottle for at least a decade.
