Description

Siepi vineyard, owned by Mazzei family since 1435, has always been the best parcel, still managed today with the same kind of respect. A unique location, a special microclimate, the foresight in the early 1980s to plant Merlot as the ideal grape to complement Sangiovese in a very particular "terroir" producing a wine which is perfectly balanced between elegance, power and complexity.

Description

Variety: Sangiovese, Merlot
Colour: Deep ruby red colour.
Aroma: The nose shows fruity aromas of cherries and plums, followed by spicy black pepper and nutmeg notes.
Taste: The aftertaste reminds of mint and eucalyptus, rounded off by hints of chocolate and perfected by pleasant notes of tobacco. Great aging potential.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C with minimum 1 hour decanting before serving.
