The production of Troyan plum rakia has a centuries-old tradition that began behind the walls of the Troyan monastery. Later, the secret recipe and technology left the monastery and spread throughout the Troyan region. With respect and responsibility for the past, VINPROM - TROYAN AD has been preserving and developing this tradition until today. The company offers various plum rakias, which differ both in their character and in the period of ageing in oak barrels. The natural fruit distillates of "VINPROM - TROYAN" AD are produced from quality, fresh and well-ripened fruit. The fruit is harvested at technological maturity and processing begins immediately after delivery. The fruit is milled after the stones have been removed. After controlled fermentation, the fruit pulp passes through a specialised distillation column, the distillation process being continuous. In this way, the distillate retains the aroma and flavour of the plums used. The additional qualities of the plum rakia are developed by ageing in oak casks. Each stage of production is carefully monitored by our master distillers, who ensure that the finished product meets all quality requirements. In this way each bottle retains its unique taste, colour and aroma.
