Salla Estate Winery was established in 2010. It is located in the village of Blaskovo, Provadia municipality. The village is located in the heart of the famous Provadia plateau Sarta, only 60 km from Varna. Near the village rises the naturally protected medieval fortress Muhaliysko Kale, in the sheer cliffs of which is carved the Rock Monastery, dating from the XII - XIV century, and in the cave Tapanite, inhabited since the Stone Age, with each blow you can hear an echo as sound from the drum.
Greek and Roman coins from Moesia and Thrace, fragments of pottery and pottery dating from the 4th century BC were found in the area during the cultivation of the land before planting the new vineyards. to the 19th century, which testify to the existence of a large wine market.
The wines are made with the most modern equipment and application of the latest modern trends - without any compromise with the quality.
Vinification
The white wine is produced from the Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer and Vratsa Muscat grapes. Red wine is made from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes. Rose wine is produced from Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir grapes, using the technology of white wine production. The grapes are picked by hand in cassettes of 10 - 12 kg. and is immediately transported to the wine cellar.
Terroir
The grapes are grown in 300 decares of own vineyards, located next to the winery, on the southwestern slope. The terrain is hilly and the area combines unique natural conditions - a combination of suitable soil, terrain, climate. The planting material is from the French company Guillaume and includes the elite white varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Riesling, the attractive red varieties Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and the local Bulgarian variety Vratsa Muscat.
Climate
The climate is transitional continental. The annual duration of sunshine is 2172 hours, and for the vegetation period / from April 1 to September 30 / is 1526 hours. The annual temperature sum is 3100 - 3700 ° С. The soils are represented by carbonate sandy-clay deposits. They are characterized by good aeration, water permeability and water retention.
