Description

Château Corbin, situated in the Saint Emilion AOC on the border of the Pomerol appellation, is one of the patriarchs of Saint-Emilion. Its foundations date back to the 15th century, and according to legend Corbin, was the stronghold that belonged to the “Black Prince” Edouard de Plantagenet who fought the French in the early stages of the Hundred Year War. Since 1999, the estate is managed by Anabelle Cruse-Bardinet, a Bordeaux University oenology graduate, who represents the 4th generation of the family to lead the Château. The 12.31-hectare vineyard of Château Corbin is planted to 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, which shows an increase in the Merlot planted here. The estate is located very close to Pomerol and not from Château Cheval Blanc and Château La Dominique. The vineyard is in one single parcel with a slight slope and is close to the chateau.
