Description
Since the estate was bought by Bordeaux merchant Patrick Bernard in 1998, Château Peyrabon has benefited from serious investment to improve its quality and the recent results show how far the quality has soared. Grown on excellent gravelly terroir the wine is now definitely of top Cru Bourgeois standard. The wine is typically a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot 3%, aged in barrels for 14 months (25% new oak).

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
Colour: Ruby red color with violet nuances.
Aroma: On the nose, bright aromas of fresh cherries mingle with notes of thyme and a subtle smoky character.
Taste: Bright acid structure providing a lively quality. Cranberry, raspberry, and red cherry dominate with hints of leather, cedar, and cocoa powder. Some earthiness in the finish and ripe soft tannins.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C with minimum 1 hour decanting before serving.
