The Glenlivet 12 YO Licensed Dram is a limited edition, dedicated to the oldest whisky The Glenlivet.
George Smith is a farmer, as well as the founder of The Glenlivet. He personally gets the first disteller license from 1823. An event, that started the modern Scotch industry.
The vision is based on the text from the distillery's license from 1823.
It has aged in new American and European oak casks, in order to represent this old style.
In comparison to the basis - The Glenlivet 12 YO, the limited edition - Licensed Dram - is bottled at a higher ABV. This gives the whisky extra density and intensity of the flavour.
Aroma: Juicy peaches, strawberry jam, complemented by notes of cinnamon and ginger;
Taste: Honey, vanilla and aromatic hazelnut;
Finish: Long, sweet-peppery.
